On the right path

Last two weeks at my internship were rather challenging. I was working both remotely and onsite, yet a lot of my colleague were working mostly remotely. The challenging part was the communication; I was mostly talking with my mentor and other designers through Podio, and I was received the feedback there as well. I am definitely not a remote worker – that I can say for sure. In spite all of that, we were trying to visualize everything in Figma and make it as clear as possible.

These days I have been working on some interface design for the website, but I have also got to challenge myself more with Illustrator, as I am still working on creating icons. To be honest, I am starting to enjoy the whole process of creating icons, because I get to brainstorm a lot on what that icon should convey and would it be easily recognizable, yet it should go well with the website’s design and consistency. I am trying to invest a lot of effort into them so that they get used and approved, but also so I become better and improve my skills.

If corona did not hit everybody that sudden these two weeks, I would have been able to take the pictures of the RaskRask team, but suddenly lots of my colleague are working from home so I did not really get the chance to organize the photo shooting I was talking about in the previous post.

Overall, I really think I am getting into this job’s atmosphere, the working hours, and the responsibilities. Some of the days I was really surprised to see that the time flew so fast, and I was already going to go home. I also grew a lot to my design colleague as she helps me a lot with deciding on my designs, and I am trying to do the same for her.

I really hope to keep the same mood and willingness to do my job just as until now, but if it grows, I am only positive about it.
