It feels like a real job…

If I could describe in 3 words how things are so far, I can firmly say – It is amazing. Throughout these last two weeks I got to cover multiple tasks, from UX/UI Design, Graphic Design to Photography. I must say that I was skeptical about enjoying switching to other tasks, but it is actually refreshing and gives much more inspiration to work with.

I got to design the LinkedIn covers for personal and company pages to give it a new look as the previous ones were already outdated. Besides, as I was working on updating the section about the employers on the RaskRask’s website, I decided I could also take new pictures of the staff and edit them, so they fit consistently. I did not get to take the pictures yet, but I researched how, when and where I can arrange this activity, so hopefully soon enough.

Moreover, some of my designs will be already implemented on the website, this makes me feel accomplished and grows my self-esteem quite a lot.

Unfortunately, my mentor was sick this week, but I have also got to feel how it’s like to work independently, without somebody’s guiding.

I observed that I started to organize all my files and designs in Figma better, which also helps me with communicating what the design is about and how does it solve the user needs.

A very good practice that I have started doing is communicating with my colleagues, front-enders, about what they think of my prototypes, so it won’t be too complicated for them to have it implemented. As our website is used both on mobile and desktop, I am trying to have everything consistent and responsive.

We also got new interns, and I am so happy to have met Sofia, another Design Intern just like me that studies almost the same program, but in Aalborg. We tend to be the first to look at each other’s “masterpieces” and give feedback on them.

I am really looking forward to next week, as I am waiting for new tasks and lots of feedback from my mentor.
